The 2026 Guangxi Junior Tennis Ranking Tournament (Liuzhou Station) concluded on May 2, bringing together a host of young tennis talents from across the region and beyond. The competition was fierce, with numerous upsets as lower-seeded players fought through obstacles, showcasing the spirit of determination and progress among junior athletes.
The tournament featured age groups U18, U16, and U12. In the U18 boys’ singles, surprises were abundant. Top seed Wang Haoning from Jiangmen, Guangdong, lost in the group stage to Li Donglin of Chongzuo, Guangxi. He was then eliminated in the first knockout round by seventh seed Wei Zhihan.
Li Donglin advanced through consecutive wins to reach the final, where he faced Wei Zhihan, a former champion of the Guangxi Junior Tennis Championships. Wei Zhihan retired due to fatigue, handing Li Donglin the title. None of the top three seeds made it to the U18 boys’ singles semifinals.
In the U18 girls’ singles, top seed Chang Xinyu demonstrated her dominance. Despite a tough group-stage match against Sun Jiayi, which she won 7-5, she maintained composure and success
