
Lithuanian forward Rokas Giedraitis of La Laguna Tenerife suffered a significant injury during the Basketball Champions League Final Four semifinals held in Badalona on Thursday.
The 33-year-old has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, as confirmed by the club in an official statement.
“Medical tests conducted this morning on Rokas Giedraitis, following a bad fall during yesterday’s Basketball Champions League semifinal against Rytas Vilnius, have confirmed that he has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. Stay strong, Rokas! We are with you!”
The injury will keep Giedraitis out of action for an extended period, dealing a major blow to the Spanish team’s season.
