Jamie Carragher has publicly apologized to Luis Enrique for his drunken interview in Dortmund back in 2024.
“Luis Enrique, I’d like to apologize for my behavior in Dortmund during the 2024 semifinal. I was wearing a Dortmund scarf, but sometimes, as we all know, when we’ve had a few drinks, we get carried away. So, I’m sorry. We loved your team, what they did last year, and it’s been a pleasure watching them play in the Champions League over the past two seasons. Congratulations on reaching the final again, well done, sir,” said the former Liverpool star.
“Thank you, thank you… You don’t have to apologize,” Luis Enrique replied to the English former footballer, who in 2024 joined the famous ‘Yellow Wall’ in Dortmund and admitted to having downed eight pints of beer.
